A CEO of a technology company is expected to be as tech savvy as the youngsters today and Elon Musk is the very definition of Tech Savvy CEO, who started the technology giant Tesla Inc., a company that has brands like SpaceX and Tesla Motors under its portfolio. Why do we say tech savvy is because every major announcment that Elon Musk does, comes from his Twitter handle.

Model 3 passed all regulatory requirements for production two weeks ahead of schedule. Expecting to complete SN1 on Friday

This makes us glued to his Twitter handle, considering his announcements are meant to change the world. Tesla’s dynamic CEO and Founder again took on Twitter on early Monday morning to share a good news about the Tesla Model 3. The hotly-anticipated mass-market sedan from the company will go into production this Friday, 7th July, 2017 and the deliveries ae slated to begin from 28th July.

Musk posted four Tweets to clarify on the rumors of hitting some regulatory roadblocks and said that Model 3 had cleared all the regulatory requirements two weeks ahead of schedule. He said that the company is looking forward to rolling out the first production model, the SN1 (Serial Number 1) later this week on Friday.

In another tweet, he revealed that Tesla Motors will hold a handover party for the first 30 customers of Model 3 on July 28. The ceremony is expected to be held at the company’s manufacturing facility in South Fremont, California. In another tweet, he mentioned that company is looking forward to build 100 units by next month, as the production is being ramped up on an exponential basis.

By September, the company is expecting to manufacture over 1500 vehicles and hopes to reach its target of 20,000 units per month by the end of the year. Tesla Motors earlier launched the car at a big event held in March 2016 and revealed the price tag of $35,000. The model was a run-away success as it received over 1 Lakh customer bookings within 24 hours of the unveil.

That’s a massive interest for any electric car across the globe. The present confirmed bookings is estimated to be over 4 Lakh customers of the Model 3 leading to a waiting period of over a year. This waiting is expected to be cleared by 2019, as the plant will reache its maximum capacity of 40,000 units per month in 2018.

Tesla has also hinted to enter India, though we are not sure for what purpose it is. Some are speculating that Musk will start a Solar battery plant in India, considering India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Elon last year in the U.S. Some are saying Tesla might very well launch the Model 3 in India. But 35000 dollar price tag means Rs 25 lakhs. Add to it duties and everything, and the EV could very well cross 35 L tag.

Whether or not Indians would buy it for that amount, will be an interesting thing to see. Musk also took the opportunity to thank the buyers of Tesla vehicles. “It matters to us that you took risk on a new car company. We won’t forget”, he tweeted.

As for the Model 3, it will initially be offered in a single motor variant, followed by a dual motor variant later this year. In the base trim, the Model 3 is expected to have a range of over 346 kms with seating capacity for 5 passengers. In terms of performance, the Model 3 can complete the 0-100 kmph run in just 6 seconds, with the dual motor variant shaving 0.4 seconds of the said time. The car will feature the Tesla Autopilot system with a full-suite of self-driving hardware.
