Sara Ali Khan turned up for Shahid Kapoor’s pre-birthday bash in a black and white flared Ted Baker dress, and the gorgeous young lady turned heads at the event attended by Bollywood’s leading stars. Rumours have been rife about the 23-year-old debut in Bollywood since last year, and according to latest reports, she would be launched under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions in Student of the Year 2.
Pink Villa recently reported that Sara’s father Saif Ali Khan has confirmed the same, adding that the actor was delighted to have his daughter work with Karan Johar, who is responsible for shaping the careers of several Bollywood stars.
Sara’s looks have changed considerably over the last few years; ever since she completed her studies, she has been busy preparing to try her luck in films, following the path of her parents.
Karan Johar’s Student of the Year 2 would have Tiger Shroff and Sara in the lead roles; initially Tiger’s girlfriend Disha Patani was assigned the role of the heroine. Reports suggest that the sequel will have two heroines and a hero, contrary to the first part, which had two heroes and a heroine.
Johar’s Student of the Year first part was released in 2012, launching the careers of Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan. The movie became a huge hit, thereby shaping the careers of the three youngsters, especially that of Alia Bhatt. Alia, at the age of 23, has made her way up to one of the highest-paid actors in Tinseltown, behind Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif, having done critically acclaimed diverse roles in a relatively short span.
From Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan Khattar to Ranveer Singh and Hrithik Roshan, many names were associated with Sara’s highly-anticipated debut. Sara’s parents were of the opinion that her acting career could wait, and wanted their daughter to focus on her studies instead. Sara graduated from the prestigious Columbia University last year.
